PROM
PROM stands for Patient Reported Outcome Measures, and assess the patient's experience of their illness and their health.
PROM can be used before, during, or after treatment or other interventions. They may consist of questionnaires to assess one's function, quality of life, symptoms, or mental and social well-being.
PROM, not PREM
PROM should not be mistaken for PREM (Patient Reported Experience Measure), which is more about how satisfied the patient is with the care they have received. Read more about PREM here.
