Brigham Women’s Hospital/Harvard
Karolinska University Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School jointly agreed on a memorandum of understanding to promote close collaboration. The purpose of the partnership is to explore opportunities for joint research, joint teaching and exchange of healthcare professionals, and clinical programs to reach new heights in healthcare, with a particular focus on strengthening a sustainable global healthcare system. Focus areas can, for example, be network medicine and federated data analysis for health data analysis, precision medicine, cardiometabolic diseases, cell and gene therapy for cancers, neuroscience, immunology, and women's health.
Brigham and Women's Hospital is an academic medical center in Boston, Massachusetts, with patients from the United States and 120 other countries worldwide. As one of Harvard Medical School's teaching hospitals and part of the Mass General Brigham university hospital system, the close collaboration established strengthens the position of Karolinska University Hospital as a leading actor at the forefront of biomedical research and education in the global arena.
