During the Healthcare Management and Innovation session, Christophe Pedroletti, CEO of Karolinska University Hospital, and Amy Williams, Executive Dean of Practice at Mayo Clinic, led the conversation. Their insights were complemented by several distinguished speakers, who shared their expertise on how to lead and influence the future of healthcare.

We were especially excited to welcome many participants from Mayo Clinic who traveled to Stockholm, making this two-day conference a valuable opportunity for networking, sharing experiences, and fostering new collaborations.

Uniting Frontline Innovators

A collaborative initiative between frontline innovators at Karolinska University Hospital and Mayo Clinic, is spearheaded by Sara Schulz and Michael Thorn. Together, they are building a network focused on fostering innovation within the nursing profession, with the goal of empowering nurses through shared experiences, support, and inspiration.

Sara and Michael are leading similar initiatives in their respective institutions and have now decided to collaborate to strengthen their efforts. At Karolinska, this development is part of the newly launched "Healthcare Frontline Innovation" project.

The Healthcare Management and Innovation session is a meeting point for diverse professional expertise, where research intersects with practical experience, innovation, and development. This session is co-chaired by Karolinska University Hospital as part of the 30th Mayo-KI Annual Scientific Research Meeting.
