Karolinska University Hospital hosts global experts in medical education and feedback

The workshops not only empowered the hospital’s clinical supervisors with evidence-based tools and methodologies, but they also demonstrated the importance of fostering international collaboration in healthcare. The facilitators have extensive experience in international research, development and quality assurance work in medical and healthcare education.

"Having internationally renowned researchers like Professors Kemp, Boursicot, and Norcini share their expertise, strengthens the hospital’s ability to promote learning. Knowledge-transfer and global collaborations are important to advancing both education and patient safety, says Charlotte Leanderson," Head of Education at Karolinska University Hospital.  

Professor Sandra Kemp conducted several workshops highlighting the pivotal role of feedback in medical education.

"Feedback is one of the top ten influences on achievement, so it is very important for feedback to be effective for learners. Currently, we are working to foster a feedback culture that promotes learning in medical education, ensuring that both learners and educators fully understand their roles within the feedback process," Professor Kemp explains.
