Research

Research is one of Karolinska's core missions, with a focus on patient-oriented clinical research. Research is carried out in the care units at the hospital and in research facilities on the hospital premises.
Core facilities

Our core facilities offer research infrastructure and expertise to others within Region Stockholm, Karolinska Institutet and external parties.

Bio Clinicum

BioClinicum poses a hub for pre-clinical and clinical research with almost 100 research groups working within the same building.

TRACK

As a translational research hub, TRACK narrows the gap between preclinical and clinical research to accelerate medical advances.

Together with our patients and healthy volunteers we learn more about the treatment, prevention and diagnostics of conditions and diseases.

Karolinska Institutet

We partner with Karolinska Institutet, one of the world’s most prominent medical universities.
